MACHINE FOR EYE-CARVING A STONE
“Machine for eye-carving a stone” is an autonomous installation that interacts with any viewer that stands close to it. It’s equipped with sensors that detect the position of a viewer and a camera that detects the exact spot on the surface of the stone where the viewer gathers his gaze. The machine then triggers the hammer and chisel and hits the stone on that place. In such a way, the stone slowly turns into a collective sculpture while it’s being already exhibited and the sculptor is the sum of the viewers themselves.
